The Baltimore Regional Chapter, founded in 1993, has 150 members. The Chapter covers Baltimore City and the counties of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard, and Prince George’s and has been recognized as a Chapter of Excellence and/or a Chapter of Merit by EWGA Headquarters in recent years.
The EWGA exists to provide opportunities for women to learn, play, and enjoy the game of golf for business and for life. The Baltimore Regional Chapter members participate in weekday summer leagues, a weekend winter league, casual weekend play, tournaments, a Chapter Championship, and golf education clinics in the Baltimore metro area, as well as play in 20+ golf events each season. The chapter also has an active social and networking schedule, including our spring opener Tee-Off Golf and Breakfast event. Our chapter members are active volunteers in numerous golf events during the summer season – events like the Tiger Woods Foundation Tournament, the Constellation Energy Senior PGA event, and the McDonalds LPGA event. These events, plus an extensive communications program that includes a quarterly newsletter, email blasts and a web site, offer numerous opportunities for sponsors and advertisers to promote their products and services.
In addition to membership dues, nationally the EWGA is supported by a number of sponsoring corporations including the PGA of America, Callaway Golf, American Airlines, Celebrity Cruises, The Golf Channel, as well as Nike and Talbots. - 38% of members have a personal annual income between $50,000 and $80,000, while 39% earn in excess of $80,000

- Play an average of 29 rounds of golf per year and spend an average of over $2,600 per year on golf equipment, instruction, apparel, and greens fees. This is almost four times the average for women golfers in general.
